Details Before you travel
- Darshan is subject to TTD rules on the day. All timings are approximate and depend on traffic and queue length.
- Every pilgrim must carry an original photo ID (Aadhaar is safest).
- Tirumala dress code: women in saree, or churidar with dupatta; men in dhoti or lungi with uttareeyam, or kurta pyjama. Jeans, T-shirts, shorts and other western wear are not allowed.
- Alcohol and smoking are not allowed during pilgrimage packages.
Frequently asked questions
Which Tirupati package from Bangalore is cheapest?
The IRCTC and ITDC bus packages, at ₹2,350 per person, are the lowest-priced options with the ₹300 special entry darshan included. Sarva (free) darshan bus trips cost less but involve a much longer queue.
Is the ₹300 special entry darshan the same as VIP darshan?
Most people searching for a 'VIP' or 'quick' darshan package mean the ₹300 special entry (Sheegra) darshan. It is included in the KSTDC, APTDC, ITDC and IRCTC bus packages and in our car packages when tickets are available on the TTD portal.
Can you book darshan tickets without a package?
No. We do not sell darshan tickets on their own. For car packages, we book special entry darshan tickets for you on the official TTD portal, and confirm the package only if tickets are available for your date.
Can I go to Tirupati and come back to Bangalore in one day?
Yes. Bus packages leave Bangalore around 9 PM and return the next evening. Car day trips leave at 6 AM and return around 11:30 PM the same day.
Is mundan (tonsuring) possible on these packages?
Yes. On bus packages the guide helps you, and on car packages the driver does. Tonsuring points at Tirumala have bathrooms next to them.
